Biography

Anne-Sophie Polz earned her Master’s in Aeronautics from the Technical University of Berlin in 2024 and is now a research assistant at the university’s Department of Flight Guidance and Air Traffic Control. Her research focuses on sensor data fusion for autonomous UAV operations, using high-resolution LIDAR and traditional and AI-driven image processing combined with inertial sensors. As part of the UBADRON team in the SPRIND-Challenge, she helped develop a navigation system for a hexacopter UAV in GNSS-denied environments. Currently, her aim is to develop reliable navigation systems for diverse environments. Furthermore, she is an active glider and microlight aircraft pilot.
