Nicholas Goubert

Senior Director Product Management, HERE
Open Location Platform

Nicholas is a seasoned technology
executive who leads platform strategy and innovation at HERE. Responsible for
delivering map services, dynamic content and location intelligence to
automotive and IoT customers – the HERE Open Location Platform is the central
backbone of the company. These include, for example, HD Live Map, a service
HERE launched at CES earlier this year that creates a highly detailed and
dynamic representation of the road environment, enabling a vehicle to
effectively “see around corners” beyond the reach of its on-board sensors. It
also includes a whole new generation of services based on vehicle sensor data
that was launched this year at Mondial Paris Motorshow.

With over two decades of experience
delivering innovative technologies and applications that unlock the potential
of location intelligence, Nicholas has a deep understanding of how location and
big data can be harnessed to drive business, modernize infrastructure and
improve urban mobility.

Before joining HERE, Nicholas was a consultant
within HTC’s Innovation Program Management team, driving the division’s market
strategy on leveraging business intelligence and geo-spatial data
visualization. As a trusted advisor and frequently quoted expert, Nicholas has
actively been involved in evolving the mapping industry from static content
delivery to location intelligence platforms and has founded, advised and
mentored some of the industry’s brightest technologies and start-ups.
Throughout his career, he has held a variety of multi-disciplinary roles
including international relations, information systems, location intelligence,
business development and product marketing.

Nicholas holds an International MBA from
Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, Belgium and Master’s degree in Geographic
Information Systems from University of Marne-la-Vallée, France.
